I'm at work on a Saturday night!  I'm here to help out a fellow coworker.  She's a coordinator of a class that's being held in our building and our management team said that although she can handle the class on her own, that they would need two people to man the building at all times.  Free overtime!

Anyhow, so I'm here at work waiting to go home... Oh the pain of sitting at a desk and doing nothing!

I can't believe it's Friday!

This past weekend, my sister and her bf, came to visit me and Rhia in Sactown.  We ate a lot, and as is custom when the two of them are up here, I managed to draw poor service from each restaurant.  I don't know if it's my goatee or what, but man, my sister made a pretty good observation that I'm pretty demanding when it comes to food service.  I watched that movie "Waiting" and I know that pissing waiters off will not guarantee any sort of edible dish.  But, I also think that we as customers deserve great service, no matter the type of restaurant!  Is it too much to ask for a glass of water posthaste?

It was nice having her over.  Made me homesick for a little while but I know that being up here has definitely been more of a plus than a minus.  I've learned to be more patient and realize to not pay attention to the little things because they can consume us so quickly that we lose ourselves and scramble to find some sense of normalcy.  But I'm still a work in progress .

Rhia also had some familiar visitors of her own.  Allana, one of her good friends, who will also be a bridesmaid, came by with her boyfriend David.  We had lots of fun and ate out again.  It was funny though... they spent one night and told Rhia that they'd leave the morning after.  I happened to be at work and when I got home, I was surprised to still see them there!  I guess the morning turned into noon time, and noon time turned into afternoon, and you get the picture.  They ended up leaving around 11:00!  Don't you hate it when visitors don't get the hint that they wore out their welcome?

Recap since last time:

Still livin in Sacramento.  Love it up here, but I do miss home sometimes.  I'm now engaged to Rhia!  It's been three months now.  Wedding date is TBD.
